Hazel Grove Golf Club, Stockport, Cheshire 2005
![]() The chaps embarked on a evening of variety, though they didn't know it at the time. Anthony was unable to attend on this occasion and was very lucky to have secured the talents of Chris Howse, the Yorkshire-based strummer and very old friend of Willy. They go back years. ![]() Spoiled is not the word! Drinks and meals were laid on and the festive mood was in abundance. The guests were enthusiastic hoofers and the dance floor never emptied all the time the band were playing. A particular fan turned out to be the Captain of all the Cheshire golf clubs. He proceeded with great gusto to enthral the assemblage with his own and unique rendition of the 12 days of Christmas, replete with audience participation! After this visually thrilling spectacle, it was straight back to the band and more frenzied gyrating to such numbers as The Charleston, and of course, Pasadena. ![]() The mood was such that we were immediately offered a repeat booking for next year (hint, hint!) However, in the cold light of day this may be revised!!! |
