Well, another outdoor event, enhanced by Café Society, though the chaps weren't quite sparkling as they left their warm beds at the ungodly hour of 7 AM! Thankfully the M6 was kind and we arrived in good time to enjoy the hospitality of Diane Rivers, the splendid lady who booked us for the event. She kept us going with drinks and sandwiches and good humour. What more could you ask for?

We were joined by another band that day - The Zenith Hot Stompers. Willy can be seen having a quick snifter whilst enjoying their music and the sunshine. The sun shone, the birds sang and the weekend was a great success.

As you can see we were once again on a band stand and we enjoyed getting the crowds to sing along - at one point the whole place shook to a screaming mob shouting "When I'm Cleaning Windows!" Most pleasurable.

As a special treat afterwards we went for an authentic Indian Balti in one of Birmingham's best restaurants. John and Willy are particularly keen on all matters relating to food. The meal was enhanced by George's unpleasant experience with the fresh lime pickle!! Rather hot!! George suffered greatly, to the glee of the chaps!! A spiffing time was had by all, as always.
