Gala Bingo, Warrington, Cheshire 2005
![]() Bingo?!?! Not the usual venue for an evening of sophisticated elegant and witty entertainment; nevertheless, Café Society's numbers have certainly come up! ![]() The audience of mixed age and little knowledge of our particular brand of diversion were surprisingly receptive I am relieved to report, and certainly we were treated well by the staff. ![]() To give the audience a taster of what they were in for later, we agreed to do one number at the start of the actual bingo session. We plumped for the 'King of the Swingers' and it was received with great enthusiasm. ![]() The main spot went very well, though some of the banter with the audience occasionally bordered on the bawdy! In the end we left the stage to thunderous applause and one or two rather indecent shouts of appreciation! ![]() Big thanks must go to Mark, the General Manager, and to Chris and Richie, the Assistant Managers (pictured: Richie is Prince Charming and Chris is Peter Pan!) |
